FET Industrial Wastewater 3-Session Course Starts in March 2018

FET will again offer its Industrial Wastewater Course on March 7, 14, and 21, 2018 over three (3) full-day sessions at The Sigma Group, 1300 Canal Street,  Milwaukee, WI 53233. 

The course will (1) review the DNR’s new Subclass U for Unique Treatment Systems that use biological, chemical or physical methods (NR 114) and (2) will focus on material geared toward EPA’s Metal Finishing Effluent Guidelines (40 CFR 433), DNR’s Metal Finishing regulations (NR 261), and Electroplating regulations (NR 260).  On July 1, 2014,  DNR published a revised Chapter NR 114: Certification Requirements For Waterworks, Wastewater Treatment Plant, Septage Servicing And Water System Operators.

Topics to be covered include: Regulatory Overview, Oily Waste Removal, Control of Solvents/Toxic Organics, Sludge Treatment and Disposal, Basics of Treatment – Batch vs. Continuous, Hexavalent Chrome Reduction, Cyanide Destruction, Sampling and Flow Measurement, Operation and Maintenance, Equipment and Instrumentation, Safety and Health, Recovery Technologies, Preparation for the DNR Exam and more.  A detailed agenda and registration form: 2018 WWT Agenda – March 2018
