Invitation to Environment 2014 from Conference Chair, Anthony Montemurro

On behalf of the FET Conference Committee, I would like to invite you to join us for Environment 2014, our 30th annual conference!

I am excited to announce that this year’s program will begin on Tuesday, October 28th with four separate Preconference Professional Development courses kicking off our event. You will be able to choose a course covering Incident Investigation/Root Cause Analysis which is designed to help EHS professionals learn to identify the root cause of an incident, permit violation, or other non-conformance issue. Another option is our Vapor Intrusion Liability Closure Requirements course which will provide information on navigating through state versus federal regulations, Brownfields funding and case closures/re-openers. We also will be offering a course on the Insights into the Air Permitting Programs in Wisconsin which is intended to provide insight into the expectations of DNR with respect to air permitting programs in Wisconsin; and once again we are bringing back our Environmental Primer, which has been a favorite course that provides attendees with a general understanding and update of current environmental regulations and management.

In addition to 30 technical and regulatory presentations over Wednesday and Thursday, we are pleased that Kim Marotta, MillerCoors LLC’s Director of Sustainability will be our luncheon speaker on Wednesday, and USEPA Region 5 Administrator Susan Hedman, will speak during lunch on Thursday.

So please take a few minutes to look through this year’s brochure, just click on Environment 2014 Brochure under the Annual Conference tab, and I am sure you will agree that you won’t want to miss FET’s 30th Annual Conference and Exhibition. I am looking forward to seeing you at Environment 2014!
