President’s Message – January 2011

What Inspires You?

It is time to turn the page on another year, and look forward to 2011. My, how the time flies by!

Reflecting on my responsibilities as your President, a significant part of the job is to inspire us toward reaching our FET vision – to be the preferred organization for educating and developing professional excellence. I am fortunate to be working with a team of dedicated people who have that common objective.

You may ask, what inspires me? I draw some of my inspiration through quotes and sayings I have read or heard through the years. Here is a sampling:

– “Make change your friend”

– “Catch the vision or catch the bus”

– “A winner never quits, and a quitter never wins”

– “When the going gets tough, the tough gets going”

– “Nobody cares how much you know, unless they know how much you care”

– “To err is human, to forgive divine”

– “It is the little moments of gratitude that make a difference in attitude”

– “It is always easier to remember the truth”

– “Volunteers are not paid because they are priceless”

– “Life is short, enjoy your ride”

– “Aspire to inspire before you expire” and last,

– “Learn from the past, dream for tomorrow, but live for today”

What inspires you?

Find your passion, pursue it on your life’s journey, and make a difference!

Happy New Year to you and your families.
