Environment 2024

October 29, 30 & 31, 2024

FET’s Annual Conference and Exhibition is held each year over a 3-day period.  The first day provides a number of Professional Development Courses to choose from, followed by a 2-day program including an opening plenary session, a panel discussion and many educational sessions on everything environmental, health and safety.

Call for Papers

Accepting Papers

FET accepts Papers for presentations a variety of topics that have a broad interest across many disciplines and do not include sales-oriented materials. All Abstracts are peer-reviewed. 


Acceptance of an abstract by FET is considered a commitment by the author to present the paper at the conference.

Abstract Submittal Information

  • Do you have information on a topic that other Environmental, Health and Safety professionals might find helpful? 
  • Do you have experience in one of the topics listed below that attendees at previous FET Conferences or Seminars have indicated are of interest? 

If you can answer “Yes!” to either of those questions, please consider submitting a proposal to present at the 2024 Environment Conference. 

Topics of interest to attendees at recent conference and seminars:

  • Best practices for waste management, storm water management, SPCC plans, or air permits
  • In depth presentations on air topics: Air dispersion modeling; NR 445 – Complying with the Wisconsin Air Toxic Rule
  • Biomass as fuels – boiler wear and emissions changes
  • Ozone nonattainment area status and neighboring states impacts
  • Sustainability, ESG and Scope 3 Emissions strategies
  • In depth presentation on WPDES permits and compliance
  • “Back to basics” (CORE) presentations on key topics: air permits, air emissions, WPDES, waste determinations, storm water No Exposure Certification,

Abstracts should be no longer than 300 words; include your name, title, professional affiliations (i.e. CHMM, PE, etc.), company name, address, phone, fax and email address. 

Abstract submission deadline is Friday, March 1, 2024.
