WI CHMM Meeting
May 9th at 10 AM Virtually

The WI CHMM Chapter is hosting a virtual meeting on CHMM recertification tips. Jimmy Nguyen, from IHMM, will walk us through the process. The agenda will include: how to login to your MyIHMM page; starting your recertification application; earning “Certification Maintenance Points”; what items qualify for CMPs; how to enter recertification claims; and ethics.

Final Amendments to Strengthen Air Toxics Standards for Ethylene Oxide Commercial Sterilizers

The US EPA announced final amendments to the National Emission Standards for Hazardous Air Pollutants (NESHAP) for Ethylene Oxide Commercial Sterilizers.

This rule is one measure the EPA is taking to reduce emissions of EtO while mitigating and managing any potential supply chain impacts.

Risk Management Program Safer Communities by Chemical Accident Prevention Final Rule

The USEPA is amending its Risk Management Program (RMP) regulations as a result of Agency review. The revisions include several changes and amplifications to the accident prevention program requirements, enhancements to the emergency preparedness requirements, improvements to the public availability of chemical hazard information, and several other changes to certain regulatory definitions or points of clarification.

This final rule is effective on May 10, 2024.
