“Educating and Developing Excellence in Environmental Professionals”
The Federation of Environmental Technologists, Inc. (FET) was founded in 1982 as a 501(c)(3) exempt organization to assist industry interpret and comply with environmental regulations. Our membership is regional (Great Lakes Region) and fluctuates at around 600-700 members. FET is recognized throughout the country by other professional organizations for its participation in educational programs.
Membership in FET is open to all industries, municipalities, organizations and individuals concerned with or involved in environmental regulations and compliance issues. There are individual, corporate, student, retiree and unemployed professional membership rates available.
Most of our programs are recognized for continuing education credits for certification, licensing and credentialing. Our officers, chairs, speakers, instructors, etc. are all volunteers who are environmental professionals. FET has 5 regional Chapters that host chapter meetings, seminars and other events. These include the Northeast Wisconsin Chapter, South Central Wisconsin Chapter, Southeast Wisconsin Chapter, Western Wisconsin Chapter and the Wisconsin CHMM Chapter.

FET Mission Statement
To educate its members and other environmental professionals on regulatory compliance and technological developments in a cost-effective manner through training, professional development and networking. FET accomplishes this through seminars, conferences, workshops, publications and other activities that address new and evolving regulations and policies in a non-advocacy format.
